Results of Cub Creek Precinct General Election

The Cub Creek Precinct cast 203 votes on Tuesday with 153 male and 50 female voters. Harding led Cox for President by 125, Morehead defeated McKelvie by 59 for Governor, and other races show narrow margins including Tippin for Sheriff and Jones for County Assessor. County results hint at a GOP landslide with statewide indications from the Omaha World Herald.

Oregon Trail Marks Grow Across Nebraska for State Publication

Robert Harvey and Addison E. Sheldon report on marking the Oregon Trail across Gage, Jefferson, Thayer, and Nuckolls counties with monuments funded by the 1911 Nebraska legislature and public gifts. Fast Ratzlaff Wedding at K M B Church

Miss Golda Fast and Peter F. Ratzlaff wed Sunday afternoon at the K M B Church east of Jansen. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs J F Fast of Dinuba California, and the groom, son of Rev. and Mrs Henry Ratzlaff near Jansen, grew up in the area. Weather delays moved the ceremony to afternoon. Beatrice Prepares Armistice Day Parade

Beatrice plans Armistice Day events on November 11 with ten bands and a city parade. An old time band will perform with members including Tom Harden and Will Fulton. Hardware Store Change Hands as Thiessen Stock Sold

Just before leaving Ruboke, John A Thiessen and Son Hardware stock was purchased and inventory begun Wednesday. Edward J Thiessen resigns to join parents in California, disposing of the business to Mr Roboke who will manage the store immediately. His announcement will appear in next week’s News.
