County Y M C A Camp Opens For Girls Near Fairbury
The County Y M C A camp on the Little Blue river, four miles south of Fairbury, offers a ten day session starting August 8 for girls aged 12 and over with trained supervisors. A weekend family group camp runs August 17 to 21. Apply early to Mrs. H. E. Potter or Miss Eva Shuman. Cost is 10 dollars for ten days, with 2 dollars due on application and the rest on entry. Fairbury Man Killed by Train in Kansas
A Fairbury Nebraska man, Dean of Fairbury, was killed this morning at 10 o clock by Rock Island train No 26 at a city railroad crossing in Kansas. He was driving a sand truck for Interstate Concrete Co. and attempted to cross the tracks ahead of the train. His neck was broken, his skull fractured, and both legs broken. He died in Dr J Mumford's hospital about thirty minutes later.
