Mrs Emme Mailer and children from Omaha visited relatives here last week. Fairbury Youth Drowns While Swimming at Pool

In Fairbury Nebraska on Sunday July 18 John Bilby age 20 drowned at a sand hole two miles from town while swimming with companions. The body was recovered two hours later from twenty feet of water after about 500 bystanders aided the search a rock attached to the body was noted.

July 27 Tone Five Big Days and Programs

July 27 marks the start of a series of adult and children programs with tickets at 1.38 for season entries. Evening programs begin 8 PM featuring Beverintendent led shows by the P riie Singers and Players with Metropolitan Glee Club. Admission Adults 60 cents Children 20 cents follow.

Ordaining of Young Women as Missionaries Feature at Reedley Church

Mennonite Brethren members plan a July 31 event honoring F B Wiens a China missionary with a Sunday reception and afternoon ordination of Misses Marie and Sophia Richert as missionaries to China Rev H W Lorenz of Tabor College will attend to officiate the ordination and the two women will join the China field urgently needed for missionary work in the region Reedley California Exponent California.
