Ratzlaff Injured in Hay Mow Fall Near Jansen
John J. Ratzlaff residing two miles east of Jansen fell from a hay mow. He was taken to Fairbury where Dr Newton reduced the fracture. He and his wife stayed in Fairbury Monday night and he will be unable to work for some time.

Windstorm Damages Millard Crops and Buildings
A heavy wind and rain storm struck Millard early Sunday causing crop damage and destruction of several buildings. Telephone lines were knocked down and repaired by linemen Sunday evening. Corn nearby was blown flat and many crops will suffer. no injuries were reported.
