Church in a bad way motion to close defeated
About thirty five members of the People's Congregational Church at Michigan and Blackford streets met to decide on future action. The past year showed decline after the pastor resigned last September. A factional split was denied. A move to close the doors failed by a 5 to 4 vote. The Rev BE Murray will preach next Sunday and efforts will seek help from the Home Missionary Society.
