In Reading Pennsylvania on April 20 Mrs Kate Edwards age 35 and Samuel Gleason age 50 were convicted of murdering Edwards husband near Stouchburg while George Gantz age 20 was convicted of killing Annie Biter aged 15. All three were sentenced to death today.

Hypnotist Tries to Wake Family in Coma Near Ticona
In LaSalle district, an amateur hypnotist Leo Lenzer confessed to placing his wife and five children in a four day sleep. He awakened two children tonight while others remain asleep. A physician says heart action is normal. Lenzer claims to regain control after recovering from intense nervous strain. Villagers guard the family and press him to continue awakening them.

Plot 10 Wreck and Kill Attempt at Niagara Tunnel
A dynamite stick with a detonator was found in a shaft 180 feet deep beneath the Niagara Power Company tunnel. The device was placed between dynamite boxes and wired to a battery near a heading 160 feet from the bottom. Night shift workers were saved from death when a nipper boy discovered the plot. Detectives investigate the motive as workers risks were immense and millions in value could have been destroyed.

Judge Tuthill's Views Spark Divorce Court Question
Chicago judge Richard Tuthill, in a divorce trial, said a wife beaten by her husband has the right to kill him. Evidence showed repeated abuse and after granting the divorce decree he stated on the bench that she would have been within her rights if she killed him. He later repeated the remark in an interview.
