The district votes to implement a Saturday school program as a discipline measure. In suspension, students may attend a suspension room at the junior school from 8:00 a.m. to noon with one break, remaining eligible for school activities.
About twenty five local residents gathered to oppose tax increases in Franklin. The group criticized high operating costs at the school district and blamed mis management while mixed views emerged on a central high school and any tax hike.
