Ladycats Rally In District Volleyball Run Advancing Toward Championship
The Ladycats won their first Southwestern district AAA match on Oct 18 defeating Lemon Monroe in three sets 15-6 14-16 15-2. Denice Cox and Brenda Thaler led serving while Jody Romohr Kim Hopkins and Jenny Rolfes powered the offense and backcourt play. The team then beat Sycamore 15-6 15-3 with Romohr and Hopkins sharing heavy hitting and Cox excelling in passing and defense. The victory secures momentum ahead of Oct 23 Milford clash with a potential Oct 25 title game at Middletown High School.
