The Muscular Dystrophy Association urges viewers who pledged during the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon to honor their commitments. Pledges phoned in totaled over 30.6 million dollars, the third-highest in 18 years, with final results pending via mailed checks. MDA supports patient services at 230 clinics and awarded 585 research grants this year to study Duchenne and ALS, aiming to end these diseases. Donations can be mailed to MDA National Office in New York or the Cincinnati local office at Ridge Avenue.
