Randy Grubbs joins Harrison Building and Loan as bank officer and manager. A resident of Harrison, he is a trustee for the Harrison Junior Baseball League and the Miami Racquet Club. He and his wife Judy and their four children live in Harrison.
The Tall Oaks Square merchants sponsor a Christmas Walk on Sunday November 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. to set the holiday mood. Stores will display festive windows and offer seasonal specials throughout the square.
Downtown merchants invite everyone to the annual Christmas Walk on Saturday November 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event coincides with the Harrison Christmas Parade and brings a festive downtown experience.

Mike and Nancy Ellert of La T.O.S. Ltd acquire Tall Oaks Square to develop office or medical space. Ellert notes the shopping center's diverse mix and wide customer draw as key to tenant success. He previously worked with Village Manor Apartments in the early 1970s.
The labor council announced a victory as their legal team secured a $10 million wrongful death suit settlement. The award followed a protracted case against the accused party, with the council highlighting the role of their attorneys in achieving justice for the deceased and family.
The Ninth Annual Christmas In The Country will be held November 30 and December 1 in Shandon and Ross Ohio with surrounding areas. Hours are Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to dark. Maps are available at all locations.
Cheese will be distributed to Harrison City and Harrison Township residents on Wednesday November 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Center 300 George St. Eligible residents must pick up in person. this is the only distribution time. For more information call 367-0649.
