James Virgil Cromer 51 husband of Wanda Padgett Cromer resided 330 N Sycamore St died in a Fairfield Ohio auto crash on Nov 6. Graveside services were held Nov 10 at Glen Haven Cemetery with the Christ in charge. Jackman Funeral Home assisted arrangements. Burials occurred at Braysville and Riverview Cemeteries with services at Bullman Funeral Home and Price Hill United Church of Christ involved.

Cromer Dies in Two Car Head-On Crash
James V. Cromer was killed in a two car head on collision near 6310 E River Rd. Funeral services for Cromer were held at Campbell Funeral Home with graveside services at Glen Haven Cemetery. Arrangements were by Jackman Funeral Home. The Fairfield fatalities were the fourth and fifth of the year, with the county traffic death toll higher than the previous year.

Rapist Caught After Police Hunt Near Kilby Roads
In a major manhunt on Friday November 7 near Kilby and Dry Fork Roads, William Robert Huxel 23 of 5700 Dry Fork Rd was captured after a tip from Mrs Wolterman. He had been sought since October 18 for rape and extortion and posted bond at arraignment.
