Memorial Day services set for May 26 1975 with band flag ceremony national anthem and memorial day address. Master of ceremonies invocation and remarks precede Taps and grave decoration. Parade dismissals follow dedication of a new fire house addition on Walnut Street with all divisions assembling for return route.
Postmaster Frank Milesky announced James A. Frey has been promoted to superintendent after serving as assistant to the Postmaster for two years. Frey, a Harrison resident, started as a sub city carrier on November 1, 1963 and became a regular clerk in 1971 after five years as a sub clerk. He earned an MBA from Indiana State University Terre Haute this past week.
The nationally known gospel quartet will be featured at Miamitown at 7 30 p m Sunday morning 10 30 and Sunday evening 6 30 p m The public is invited to attend these services and a sightseeing trip to Pikes Peak 14110 ft and other locations.
Crosby parade forms at 2 p.m. in front of Crosby United Methodist Church in New Haven led by Yeager American Legion Post 199 firing squad and Wm. Henry Harrison High School Band under Mr. Don Pisegna. Other service groups participate.
The third annual Memorial Day Road Runner event is scheduled, with organizers planning the route and timing for the race. Local clubs and sponsors express support for the community fitness event.

Memorial Day services in Miamitown announced with contact at 241 5500 for arrangements by 5 p.m. Friday the 23rd. Services commence with a solemn gathering and local observances planned by area officials and organizations.
Due to the Memorial Day holiday the Wm. H. Harrison High School Band Boosters hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday May 27 at 7 30 PM in the Band Room. The event invites all supporters for the 1975 76 season and an evening of music.
The East Central High School Class of 1975 will have its commencement exercises on May 30. Principal LeVon Winters and assistants Cliff Gillmer Norman Griffith will present recognitions as class colors Ice Blue and Silver are announced.
The annual Memorial Day event is set for May 26 with a 10 15 a m start. Participants will march from the building to Glen Ceme St Harrison Ave Walnut Street for dedication services at the Harrison Volunteer Fire Dept Refreshments will be served. Included groups are Poppy 1S Girl Staters Boy Staters W F W Auxiliary and V F W Bus.
Wm. J. Ennis, 1953 Harrison High School graduate, will speak at the commencement. He earned a B.S. in 1958 and an MBA in 1962 from Xavier University.
Alumni gather at HLS Commons for a 6 p.m. school tour and 6 30 p.m. dinner with chicken and ham at 3 50 per person. The Combinations provide dance music at the V F W Hall 9 p m to 1 a m with beer and set ups at 4 50 per person. Reservations by June 13 via 655 2439 or 367 9649.
