Ohio Senate resolution seeks six month ozone monitoring before emissions tests
Ohio State Senator Stanley J. Aronoff leads a Senate resolution urging the U S Environmental Protection Agency to permit a six month monitoring period for ozone levels in Hamilton Butler Warren and Clermont Counties before imposing emissions testing. The measure cites past testing in Cincinnati and Hamilton County in 1973 and argues unusually hot dry weather drove 1983 ozone levels, proposing a summer 1984 comparison and delay of costly testing.
