Cats Add 4 More To Win Column

The Harrison Wildcats baseball team won four straight games over Wyoming Norwood Finneytown and St Bernard to push their record to 6 1 1 in league play and rise to second behind Greenhills. Doug King starred in the Wyoming game with eight hits and one run allowed while Rob Eckel and Jim Hey contributed key hits. King also earned the Norwood win as Harrison rallied with a trio of runs in the second and a late surge. The Cats beat Finneytown 6 3 with Rob Eckel homering and Shawn Sanders driving in runs. Harrison then crushed Norwood 12 5, moving to 12 3 1 overall and setting up a productive baseball clinic scheduled for May 5.

Ladycats stretch to 9-1 with April wins and league lead

Ladycats softball went 2-1 in a three game week from April 25 to 27 led by Amy Gerhardt 4-4 and 2 RBIs in a 27-4 win over Wyoming on April 25. Debbie Slayback earned the victory. They lost 6-2 to Norwood on April 26 with unearned runs scoring, then won 11-0 versus Finneytown led by Jane Werner 3-3 and Kelly Hey 3-4 with an RBI. The team stands 9-1 and leads the league, with Norwood at Harrison May 4 and Milford May 8 upcoming plus the Harrison Invitational May 11-12.

Greenhills Takes Reading Meet Victory for Pioneer Track

Greenhills, a top Greater Cincinnati squad, won the Reading Invitational held April 26-27, taking both Varsity and Reserve divisions. Harrison placed fourth in both divisions. Alter was Varsity runner-up. Tom Harris led Bruce Williamson’s crew with discus and shot wins, and a new school record 440 relay time. Harrison hosts its own invitational May 3-4 with ten schools.

Troupe 347 Presents 1984 at EC With New Cast

Troupe 347 stages George Orwell’s 1984 at EC with Tom Boylen as Winston Julia played by Jill Lytle and Mike Williams as OBrien. The production, in rehearsal since March, features high tech effects and a mobilized talking robot. Performances are May 4 and 5 at 8:30 p.m. Cincinnati time, tickets $2, call 656-8525 ext 36. Road Runners Win Again in 1-0 Thriller at Kuliga Park

Harrison Building and Loan Road Runners topped Bridge town Wildcats 1-0 for their fourth win in five. Lisa Bauman scored on a first half breakaway with help from Missy Jackson Julie Banks Heather Schulte Heather Lee and Joy Schaefer.
