Dearborn County Commissioner Bob Schroder says construction of a new bridge over the Whitewater River at the Harrison edge is on schedule pending state funding. Landowners are being contacted for right of way, with seven properties involved. If funded, construction could begin this winter. Mayor Mason notes possible start dates this month or July. The 1914 bridge, damaged by the 1913 flood, is being replaced to improve access for about 4,500 travelers daily.
