The Whitewater Community Center announces a Children's Recreation Program from June 18 to August 17 on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 6 through 14. The 9 week fee is $5 per child with an extra 50 cents if a guest speaker is invited. Registration at 6025 Dry Fork Road weekdays 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The Senior Citizens Club met at the Community Center at 12 30 PM with 52 members and one guest. A Hamilton Ohio couple spoke about four planned trips. reports from May and the treasurer were accepted. birthdays and illness noted. July 11 picnic at VFW Shelter House with meal prices and reservations due by July 7.
Auditions underway to form a statewide senior choir with reps from all 88 counties. From Butler to Warren, auditions occur Saturday July 21 at Xavier University's Edgecliff campus Maxwelton Hall 12 to 3 PM. Candidates must be 50 plus, retired or semi retired, and able to read. The Christ Hospital invites anyone born there who is over 50 years old or knows of such a person to contact 369-1141 by July 6. The search supports the July 15 celebration of the renovated obstetrics unit and quotes a Japanese proverb about kindness.
Kathy S. Hine was appointed a financial analyst for Armco announced by Surendra Sighvi general manager of financial management. She joined Armco's Metal Products Division in 1979 then moved to the Eastern Steel Division as a credit analyst in 1980 and was promoted to credit representative in February 1984. Hine holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in finance from Miami University and is a 1971 graduate of Wm. H. Harrison High School. She resides in Middletown.
