Wildcats Upset Cowboys In Overtime Win At Wyoming
Jerry Bovard's Cats shocked first place Wyoming in an overtime finish 63 to 12 after a 59 all regulation. Greg Loos led with 26 points, joining Glenn Hughes 16 and Brad McDonald 10 in double digits as Cats rally from a halftime deficit to claim the upset and boost morale. The Cowboys led early 12 to 8, but Wyoming’s rhythm faded as Harrison sparked a late run to force OT and Loos sealed the win with a layup with nine seconds left in the extra period. The Cats, now 2-6 in league play, hope this victory sparks momentum ahead of a Friday road game and a postponed February 14 rematch with Reading.
