Changes In New Federal Tax Deposit Forms
IRS announces immediate changes to Federal Tax Deposit forms including OCR friendly forms, new preprinted fields, and mailings. Coupon books with 15 forms will be mailed and must be used for deposits. Preprinted info now limited to taxpayer ID. darken spaces to code tax type and period. Orders for additional forms, 2–3 week fulfillment, and limited office supplies for emergencies. Deposits must go to qualified depositaries or Federal Reserve Banks to avoid 5 percent underpayment penalties.
