Nugent Named Assistant Majority Caucus Chairman
State Senator Johnny Nugent of Lawrenceburg has been named Assistant Majority Caucus Chairman for the 104th Indiana General Assembly by Senate President Pro Tem Robert D. Garton. The appointment occurred at the organizational meeting November 20 during the 1985 session. Nugent will aid the Majority Caucus Chairman W. Richard Miller in presiding over the Senate majority caucus and advance legislation for southeastern Indiana. The session opened its day with remarks from Nugent and adjourned until January 7, with bills due by the 12th for filing.
