Harrison Nite At Riverfront Draws 20 000 Fans In Rain
Reds lost 9 2 to the Astros as rain chased fans early yet Harrison Nite drew over 20 000 attendees and 500 locals. Max Venable doubled in a run, Pete Rose hit a triple and scored on Venable’s drive in the third, but Dave Parker homered later fading Reds’ rally. Mayor Rolfes threw out first ball. Harrison groups enjoyed inside access and local sponsors filled the scoreboard.
