Township invites bids for a 1985 full police patrol car with V eight engine heavy duty chassis and equipment. Bids due by Aug 22 1984 at 7 30 PM with 20 percent bond, addressed to Township Clerk Harrison Ohio. Vehicle to be white over black with extensive standard and special police fittings.
Albert and Clara White family members gathered July 8 at Shawnee Lookout Park for a reunion. Attendees included multiple Roessler, Rosemeyer, Schroeder, Koons, Wehkamp, Baldwin, Clingerman, and Zuniga relatives from Harrison, Dayton, Vevay, Rising Sun, Cincinnati, and Costa Rica. They enjoyed conversations, park exhibits, sports, and meals. The next reunion is planned for July 14, 1984 at the same location with invites through Hazel Brickner and Margie Roessler.
Marine Pvt Michael R Meyers son of Robert W and Dortney M Meyers of Cleves Ohio completed an 11 week recruit training cycle at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island He learned battlefield survival basic first aid rifle marksmanship and close order drill emphasizing teamwork and self-discipline during the cycle.
Navy Airman Apprentice Timothy J. Sizemore son of Robert and Shirley M Size more of Harrison Ohio recently returned from a five month deployment to the Indian Ocean and North Arabian Sea. Sizemore, a member of Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 136 aboard USS Midway, spent much of the voyage in the Arabian Sea near the Strait of Hormuz to keep the sea lane open. The squadron took part in open ocean exercises with allied forces and visited Singapore Pattaya Thailand and Subic Bay Philippines on the way home.
