American and Filipino forces clash near Calamba and Labao
On October 24 Manila dispatches report Maj Cheatham's battalion with infantry and artillery driving insurgents from Calamba trenches and pursuing them three miles with heavy losses. One American killed and three wounded from the 21st infantry. Lieut Ferguson and 20 scouts kill six mounted insurgents and seize eight with rifles. American Army Officers to Observe Transvaal Conflicts
