Hammer Throwing Record Broken
Washington October 10 Saturday the heavy hammer throwing record was smashed at the Amateur Athletic Union meeting on Analostan Island by Wilson Coudon of the Warren Athletic Club. He threw the 16 pound hammer 129 feet 11 inches breaking his best 122 feet. He also set marks with the 12 pound hammer at 159 feet 0.5 inch and the 8 pound hammer at 204 feet 6 inches surpassing prior records of 158 feet and 202 feet respectively.
