At Hazard Kentucky on November 15 the circuit court met with armed factions clashing from the jail to the courthouse. Benjamin F. Lawson of Prince George's County was convicted of manslaughter for striking Samuel Hodge an elderly Black man with an axe-handle at a corn-crib on June 21. A judge fined Lawson $250 as punishment.
Faribault Minnesota November 15 John Benson a Rice County farmer performed a remarkable feat yesterday morning on a lake two miles north of Faribault He saw a bevy of wild ducks trapped by ice and rushed with a corn cutter to clip off the heads of 154 ducks, a dramatic harvest in a single morning.
Drs Moines November 15 A formal canvass will decide the Iowa Lieutenant Governor race as the House is deadlocked with a tie and the Senate shows the Republicans leading four to six.
CuicaGco reports a farm owner twenty-five miles southwest of town struck a natural gas vein while boring for water. The flow is so strong it throws dirt and gravel fifty feet high, prompting plans to install a pipe and test the gas flow near the farmer's house.
Ratzieu North Carolina November 15 Chief Justice W N H Smith of the North Carolina Supreme Court died yesterday at 1s gclock.
A cipher dispatch reports a Brazilian revolution aimed at forming a republic with the army in control. Ministers resign, a provisional government forms including Da Fonseca and Benjamin Constant, and reports mention the possible death of Marine Minister Baron Ladario.
Reports from Lake Providence Louisiana describe a midnight attack on the Alsatia store and Bernard and Block in Goodrichs Landing. About fifty shots were fired, a warning reading No Jews after the 1st of January was left, and rifles struck buildings and interiors. No injuries or major property destruction reported. authorities pledge action to identify the perpetrators.
Reports from Rio Janeiro and London dated November 18 describe Bahia Province opposing the new republic while most provinces pledge adherence. In Kansas City on November 18 Edward Gregg, a cook, was fatally shot by Henry Robinson, a black waiter at the Centropolis Hotel. After quarreling with fellow waiter David Davenport, Robinson chased him into the kitchen and fired, striking Gregg in the breast and causing his death.
In Wilkesbarre Pennsylvania on November 18 the wife of Patrick Cannon wandered into the mountains after a drinking spree and found frozen to death. She had disrobed thinking she was at home and moans were heard nearby by residents who could not locate her.
Montgomery November 19. The State Department of Agriculture reports November results show cotton harvest at 86 percent statewide, with strong declines in North Alabama counties. The corn crop averages above a full yield, with an average around 105.
Twenty thousand people attended the ceremony in Philadelphia for the corner-stone laying of the Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church at Eighteenth and Morris streets. Archbishop Satelli, papal delegate to the American Catholic Congress, presided over the events.
In Marshall County a gunman identified as D A Scott killed the outlaw who claimed to be Reuben Burrows. The mortally wounded fighter proclaimed he was not Burrows, naming himself Smith. The slain man wore a mail shirt.
John Woods, a farmer from outside Knoxville, fell into a creek last night while intoxicated and drowned. Local authorities report the accidental death occurred near his home area and note no foul play is suspected.

In Harrison County at Romine's Mills James Eib’s barnyard the gray eagle was shot by Walter Eib, twelve, using a squirrel gun. The bird measured seven feet six inches from wingtip to wingtip, the largest gray eagle seen or killed in this area.

Rev. Frank Rodgers of Orange New Jersey died aboard the Atlantic express between Arcona and Derry. He was traveling with his family returning from Colorado for health reasons. Remains were sent to his former home.

Nine large business buildings on the west side of Main street were destroyed in an early Sunday morning fire in Aurora South Dakota. The total loss is unknown though insured for over seven thousand dollars.
