Washington October 29 The stenographic report of Tariff Commission statements is nearly finished and will be printed and distributed by the Government Printing Office within a week. The commission traveled about 7000 miles, held seventy public sessions, and heard from 500 to 609 witnesses. The 2000 page record will not publish its recommendations until Congress reconvenes in December 1883.
