Cheyenne Wyoming November 2. Two thousand Wind River Reservation Indians near Yellowstone face starvation as beef rations drop to three fourths of a pound per person while meat is eaten on the hoof in fall. Flour and sugar cuts, delayed deliveries, poor irrigation, early frost ruin crops, and diseased domestic carcasses add to desolation. Governor Warren confirms the crisis and will report to the Interior Department.
Judge Parker of the U S District Court for the Western District of Arkansas sentenced nine murderers to death and set January 16, 1890, as the date of hanging. The condemned are George Tabler, Charles Bullard, Harry Austin, John Billy, Tom Wilge, Madison James, Jefferson Jones, Sam Goens, and Jamison Burris. All are described as full-blooded Indians except Austin. offenses occurred in the Indian Territory within a year.
Two bodies were recovered yesterday from the Conemaugh. One is believed to be John Schrantz of Allentown, found with a Pittsburgh to Allentown ticket and money on the body. The second body was unrecognized.
Pig Vann of Summerville Georgia, infamous for killing North White in a dispute over matching dollars, was granted a one week respite by Governor Gordon in CaHattanough Tennessee. The public execution scheduled for Summerville yesterday is expected to occur within the week.
Webb City Missouri November 2 Joseph Moore the city marshal was shot in the lower body last night while attempting to arrest J M Cooley a dissolute character for drunkenness Cooley is under arrest Moore is expected to die due to his wounds

John Shubert, after a hunting outing, shot and killed Mrs. Pauline Hagley at the Woman's Home. Hagley teased him for failing to shoot rabbits. Shubert fired and the coroner's jury ruled the death accidental.
Baxter Springs Kansas November 4 The Quapaw Indians council met Saturday and decided to sell their sixty three thousand acre reservation to the Government on terms proposed by the Indian Commission. The fertile tract lies in the southeastern corner of Kansas.
In Findlay Ohio yesterday afternoon Joe Donovan shot and killed John McManus in McManus yard after returning home intoxicated. Donovan is jailed.
Logansport Indiana November 4 George Benner twenty two of this city was accidentally shot while hunting north of the city yesterday afternoon. The charge struck him in the left eye tearing away the top of the head.
Alexander Simpson, longtime Kansas City Times reporter, learned from London yesterday that he has inherited his aunt's estate in Edinburgh, Scotland. The fortune is valued at 960,000.
In New York the electric current surged through a fallen telephone wire on Fourth Avenue near Twenty eighth Street. Horse stepping on the wire died, and driver Thomas Whelan was knocked down and shocked twice before he collapsed. Blue flames and a burning odor were observed at the scene.
In Lebanon Pennsylvania on November 5 a blast of molten iron from the Colebrook Furnace No 1 overwhelmed five laborers Harvey Bohr Henry Fertig Isaac Siegrist Wm Snyder and Harvey Beck killing them. Three others John Bohr Benjamin Eck and Enoch Eisenhauer were severely burned as the hoisting shaft was destroyed.
Chattanooga Tenn Nov 5 The East Tennessee Land Company deal is now closed it is the largest ever in the South. It covers 300000 acres along the Cincinnati Southern line with a 2 million dollar purchase price and three million dollar company capital. One million dollars will fund the town of Haniman.
In Bismarck on November 5 the governor’s summons led to new oaths of office for State Auditor Bray, State Secretary Flittle, Insurance Commissioner Casey, Superintendent of Schools Mitchell, and Supreme Court Justices Wallin Corliss and Bartholomew. The newly formed state government was ceremonially launched.
Paris reports a quarrel at banker Monroe's office the day after Miss Caldwell's marriage to Prince Murat ended. She asked for letters and, enraged, insulted those present calling them fools and idiots, creating a public scene in the bank.

Pittsburgh November 5 The great majority of large firms have conceded the proposed wage advance with all but one agreeing. Work is expected to resume across the industry this week as the strike nears settlement.
Belgrade dispatch reports the Czar sent a letter to Natalie expressing sympathy and continued recognition as Queen of Servia. The communication is believed to help expedite the settlement of her claim.
The Dispatch reports a movement to form a steel barb wire trust in Prrrspuren with options taken by the Federal Steel Company on all major local plants. If formed the trust would be capitalized at several million dollars.
