Wallace D Scott and Blanche D Chesebrough filed a Chicago license to marry. Both residents listed as Sioux Falls South Dakota. Scott, a Sioux Falls attorney and state attorney, is connected to Kittredge Winans Scott. Chesebrough is the former wife of Roland B Molineaux of New York.
The Latonia steeplechase ended in a dramatic accident when Trisco flipped over the last jump and plunged into the ditch. Jockey Wilson Hart suffered a crushed hip and internal injuries while the horse Serge, ridden by Ed Corrigan, rose and stood. Spectators feared the worst but the horse recovered quickly.
In Nashville Tennessee on Monday morning two masked men robbed the Cumberland Telephone and Telegraph Co. cashier Melville M Wheeler at the general offices. They forced him to unlock the vault and escaped with over $3,000. The offices were well lit and in the city center.

Two walls of the Pennsylvania railroad's new Davenport street freight depot collapsed into Lake Erie on Sunday afternoon. The disaster fatally injured two men and caused a stampede as hundreds sought safety inside the building. Police aided as the roof looming above the 150000 square foot structure trembled, while workmen attempted to evacuate the perilous site.

Elias Mumaw was fatally injured when a Dayton Covington and Piqua traction car struck the log load he was hauling as he crossed the track on Monday morning. The car descended a hill at 25 miles an hour, hurling him about 30 feet.
