A spontaneous refinery barrel house fire in Braptorp Pa destroyed the Emery oil plant, igniting five oil cars and a 400 gallon benzine tank. A tank fragment blasted 300 feet, showering burning liquid. Firemen and spectators suffered bruises and burns as a stampede ensued. about 35 firefighters were burned, while spectators near the scene were unharmed.
