Washington May six. Yellow fever has appeared in Havana and the treasury department order suspending quarantine till the fifteenth inst has been revoked. Two cases are reported.
The transport Egbert has arrived from Taku China and entered quarantine. It brings a large number of bodies of American soldiers who had been temporarily interred at Taku.

The merger includes Robinson Bros Co Akron Canal Dover Midvale Summit sewer pipe factory Akron Granite Clay Mogadore Camp factories Akron Cuyahoga Falls Greentown and other Ohio Valley plants with Henry B Camp of Akron named as president.
About 600 miners in East Palestine struck to demand payment for dead work. In the Panhandle district West Virginia, 400 miners attached to the Ohio organization were ordered out as operators push a ten hour day. Three hundred men struck at Carbondale and another 300 at Carbon Hill resisting wage cuts.

Mary Murray widow of Dr S B Murray was named administratrix of his estate in Toledo probate court. Legal battle anticipated between the widow and Miss Rose Murray over the property.
