Kansas City April 29 at Chelsea Park a bridge over an artificial lake collapsed dumping about seventy five people into seven feet of water. Most escaped with fright or minor injuries while fifteen were hurt including Mrs J H Pendergast Miss Morris Parish Samuel Lester and Juddie Stevens with four seriously injured.
August Faver, a Louisville militiaman en route to New York, extended an arm from a car window to check rain at a bridge near Albany. The arm was crushed and had to be amputated at Bellview Hospital last night. He is a wholesale druggist living at 42 Eleventh Avenue, Louisville.
