Paris Ky February 28 a newsboy lighted a cigarette and dropped a match on a five gallon gasoline can aboard the Kentucky Central northbound train. The ensuing blaze burned several passengers and scorched cars and track delaying the train four hours. The injured include Wm Tarr G C Lockhart Dr John Jamheson Robt Goggin Wim Botts Wm Ballinger and W N Applegate. The corpse of Mrs Florence Longmore Letton was recovered from the baggage car.
