Eager Pass Texas June 5 Full particulars of the Fuente coal mine disaster. At 4 pm Saturday a fire broke out after the locomotive left. Twenty six miners perished from heat smoke and gas while twenty four chambers were burned. Rescue efforts ongoing with bodies recovered from the seventh and tenth chambers. Superintendent George Spence survived after being overcome. All miners were Mexican and many families left destitute. Managers reportedly under arrest pending investigation.

FRANKFORT Ky June 6 Lightning struck the Switzer home five miles from Frankfort killing farmer James Redding his wife and visitors Mrs John Lymen and Alexander Barbour instantly. Mrs Redding who is in delicate condition was severely shocked and may not recover. Three bodies lay on the front porch the house remained unburned.
A Pittsburgh dispatch to the World reports that pressing charges against H C Frick and other Carnegie Steel officials will not lead to quashing cases against strikers. The district attorney states each case will be disposed of on its own merits regardless of employer cases.

The company had capital stock of 450000 The liabilities are not known The firm was closely allied with the improvement company which failed recently The failure leaves many laborers and their families in distressing condition.
Lemuel Jarvis Jr., son of former sheriff, a wealthy farmer and political leader in Harrison County, was struck by lightning and killed instantly near Clarksburg while crossing his father's farm during a heavy storm Monday evening.
