In Uniontown Pennsylvania on July 27 four Hungarian men moving goods from one boarding house to another were attacked by five coke drivers. Paul Elas was struck with a stone, fracturing his skull and dying within two hours. The five assailants King Me night Ramage Fell and Shaeffer were held for murder. the others were seriously injured.
A cyclone struck Cimarron Station at 10 last night eighteen miles west of Dengs City causing the destruction of about a dozen houses or a fifth of the town. A dry goods store and livery stable were demolished. Al Barton’s house was swept away. Mrs Barton and child were seriously hurt and several others injured as winds reached eighty seven miles per hour.

Care July 26 report states five children aged five to seven visited Pittman's home at Pepper's Millsy. With the family away they seized pigs geese ducks and chickens several cats and two dogs and dumped them into the well. Chairs tables knives forks bed clothing and the family wheelbarrow were dragged in as well. The outcry drew neighbors who rescued the animals and the loss was paid by the boys' parents.
St Louis July 26 The Democratic Congressional Convention of Missouri's Fourteenth District, meeting in Poplar Bluff since Tuesday morning, adjourned sine die after casting 447 ballots without nominating a candidate, an event unparalleled in Missouri history.
A severe hail storm hit July 25 near TowER Crisp Dax, injuring several people and tearing down roofs. Hail fell thirteen miles west of town, damaging crops as it moved southeast. Extent of country damage and precise reach remain unknown.

Topeka Kansas dispatch reports N A Adams of Manhattan bought two hundred Colorado steers in Kansas City last week. Thirty died from Spanish or Texas fever, six from a carload in transit.
