He offered no further explanation and his full identity could not be confirmed.

Mrs. Allen a Herman Union county widow with her 6 year old daughter and a mastiff were accosted while picking blackberries near Faithful Dog. The dog seized one attacker by the throat and killed him, while the second escaped after being warned off by the mistress. The coroner collected the mastiff’s victim remains.
July 10 6000 men lined a hall for a mass meeting at Music Hall. The immense crowd packed the venue as resolutions against oppression were unanimously adopted. George M Pullman was denounced amid stirring addresses by noted labor leaders. The event urged orderly conduct while noting that the ballot may decide if money rules the country.
Indiaapolis July 10 Gen Harrison said Cleveland's railroad strike proclamation was unprecedented as a president ordering federal troops into a state without its governor's request or protest. He noted it marked the first time in U S history such action occurred.
At Williams Post No 78 G A B in Mescix Indiana on Monday night strong resolutions endorsed President Cleveland and Governor Matthews for handling the strikers and maintaining law, Comp Co McGrath telegraphed the governor accordingly.
On Sunday six new cholera cases were reported in St Petersnine with seventeen deaths to date.
In Coumans O July 6 Chief Arthur of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers mediated the C H V and T strike. He urged engineers and firemen to resume work to keep their Brotherhood membership. The engineers and firemen agreed to return. conductors and brakemen largely chose to accept the offered terms and go back to work.
Adjt Gen Howe conducted the first in a series of tests using carrier pigeons to carry messages in wartime. Nineteen birds were released at Dayton at 10 42 a.m. The first bird returned at 12 10 p.m. and seven more by 12 28 p.m. Messages came from Dayton officers and newspapers to Howe and the Columbus Homing Club. Next week flights will be from Portsmouth.
Surgeon Park Guards Short and Drake and a life convict named James M. Scott will appear before the Greene County grand jury to testify about a written confession by Charles Morris, a Greene County prisoner serving twelve years for burglary. Morris, while in the prison hospital, confessed to murdering Mr and Mrs Douthitt, an elderly couple found slain in the suburbs of Xenia.
A new company in Columbiana Ohio announces a 1050 acre coal venture described as the best eastern Ohio territory with superior coal. A switch will connect to the Pennsylvania road and shipments are planned within ninety days.
Secretary Probst returned from Luckey near Toledo with details of a combination smallpox and measles case. Henry McGale, formerly of Genawee, Mich, was the patient. En route he stopped at Detroit's Merchants hotel. A physician noted measles in one case and smallpox in another. The smallpox spread to one child, while measles affected two others.
Fostorta. July 7. Agent W H Bannister of the Nickel Plate road has ordered layoff of all nonessential employees. Only two mail trains run and all switches along the line are spiked to prevent misoperation as trains approach.
Delaware Ohio reports a morning strike by Big Four shop men and switchmen starting at 6 o clock. No freight cars move and all pony engines remain on their wheels. Large shipments wait to be transported as Local Agent Frank Moore refuses to bill goods or promise cars.
Lina, C July 7 The Chicago and Erie railroad trims staff due to the tie up in Chicago. Half the office force in the area has been dismissed and fifteen operators in this division have been discharged.
Cotuupus O July 7 Drs L E B Custer of Dayton and Grant Molyneaux of Cincinnati resign from the state board of dental examiners and their resignations have been accepted by the governor.

Justice Sibila convict Charles Hoffman of shooting woodcock out of season in Justus. Hoffman pays a $25 fine as Game Warden Caldwell of M Jou notes the ruling.
Gov Meinley granted a pardon to Dr James H Ads who had been sent from Mercer county last fall to serve two years for performing a criminal operation. The professional was a woman of bad character.
