A blaze at a Berditcheff Russia circus during a performance killed many and trapped hundreds. Doors opened inward and side doors were nailed shut, fire spread via fireworks, and water froze as firefighters arrived. estimates ranged from dozens to several hundred dead, with victims including clowns and officials. Nathan Ruzazowski changes his name to Nathan Rosenau after forty five years in Philadelphia. Rev Charles Spurgeon Jr. returns from Evangelical Convention and plans to persuade his father to come home.
