Destructive Fire Destroys Two Fine Chicago Apartments
A Sunday night blaze on the south side of Chicago destroyed two top apartment houses at Wabash Avenue and Thirty-sixth Street. Owned by Lincoln Brooks, the corner building with 40 apartments was unoccupied and nearly finished. the adjacent south building housed tenants with over 300 apartments. Both structures were a total loss, with damages near 300000 dollars. The fire reportedly started on the fifth floor in the corner building.
