Red O'Brien the bank robber, brought to Savannah Missouri for a $14,000 bank theft, planned a jail break using dynamite. He and three accomplices blew a jail door and wall, fled, then were pursued by the sheriff and townspeople and captured. O'Brien carried a loaded revolver.
A special dispatch reports Mrs. Foss was murdered and her mother wounded near Pontacoula Louisiana by a Negro raised by the family. The assailant used an ax and robbery is believed to be the motive. A large posse is in pursuit.
Gertrude McWilliams aged 16 was fatally gored by a cow in La Porte Indiana on Monday. The animal trampled her and inflicted ghastly wounds before she died.
