Frank King a noted criminal was shot and killed during a daytime robbery at 362 West Adams street in Cuicag o. Samuel N. Clifford, store owner, opened the door and fired when two men rushed in. King was struck in the head and died instantly. The accomplices escaped.

Engineer was oiling pumps in the bank when fire began. access blocked by heat. Two loaded cars burned. No injuries as miners were outside. Company plans rebuilding and aims to restart in about 30 days.
