Three masked men boarded a Savannah to Atlanta express near Forsythe after a stop at Collins Station. They seized $2,500 from the express safe after scaring Messenger Byne, pulled the alarm rope, and fled as Conductor Reid and others realized the robbery. police dogs are being used at the scene.
Eight miles south of Jackson Tennessee on Wednesday night a farmer named Joe Hardin accused his nephew J L Edwards of spending five cents entrusted to him. Edwards struck Hardin with iron, Hardin then stabbed Edwards to the heart. Edwards died instantly and Hardin was arrested.
Three distinct tremors shook St Louis Thursday night, felt mainly in the western city. They followed thunder and lightning with no rain, lowering the thermometer by about fifteen degrees before the first shock at 8 45. The first shock rocked houses and broke crockery and windows, and two more shocks followed.
Canada plans record wheat exports with total 63 million bushels harvested. Ontario yields 30.5 million, up 10 million from last year. Manitoba and the northwest about 30 million, other provinces 2.5 million. After deducting seed and domestic use, about 33 million bushels remain for export.

Deputy United States Marshal Barney Connelly was killed in the Cherokee Nation Wednesday morning during a clash with ex Deputy Marshal Busby who was being sought on a warrant. Connelly's attempted arrest led to his death and a posse is in pursuit.
