Akron Ohio August 24 The Whitmore Robinson Co one of the largest factories in the state resumed work in full on Monday morning. Large additions are to be built at the plant. Robinson Bros Sewer Pipe Co also resumed work in full after a long idleness.
The funeral for Col. John O Hodges was held Saturday afternoon at 4 o clock at the Second Presbyterian church in Lexington Kentucky.
Davenport Iowa August 24 Hon John C Bills former state senator and former Davenport mayor aged 40 prominent Iowa lawyer committed death by his own action Monday after a period of ill health He was despondent over failing health and took his own life.
J. C. Snyder of Dayton Ohio was alighting from a C H D excursion train at Etna station when his left leg was severed by the rear coach. He died Sunday evening. A carpenter, he leaves a wife and three children.

Cleveland Ohio August 21 The Union Rolling Mill Co will resume operations Monday after a two month shutdown caused by coal shortages and workers refusing to work until the Amalgamated scale was signed. All departments will reopen providing work for between 850 and 1000 men.
