An ice cream festival is announced for Lindawood school house two miles north of Greenville three miles east of Cole Town and 24 miles south of Woodington on Fort Recovery pike next Saturday evening June 24. Proceeds benefit Busy Bee Bible Class of Evangelical Sunday school in Greenville.
A 1906 anecdote claims lightning kills 169 nationwide while Electric Bitters cured Robert Madsen of virulent liver trouble and jaundice after four doctors gave up. The remedy is hailed as best for stomach liver nerves kidneys and blood purification, available at 50 cents.

Andrew MacAlister investigates a Lake Michixay burglary. He trails a dog through Lincoln Park to a northern district tenement where a woman, child, and a thief with a room mate are found. Zip the dog leads to the hiding place, the silver is recovered, and the man confesses. The dog is rewarded and becomes guardian of the yard.
