Greenville minister honored on fiftieth anniversary
The Greenville Ministerial Association celebrated Rev. William McCaughey’s fiftieth year in the ministry on January 7 1907. He began in the Reformed Church in 1857 and joined the Presbyterian church in 1881, organ izing Greenville’s Reformed church in 1864 and serving there 11 years. He has preached 5964 times, baptized 626, officiated 400 funerals, and delivered 2000 addresses, later serving as an evangelist while still preaching when invited.
