Venice to Provide Emergency Ambulance Service

City Administrator Dale Rieth announced that Venice will supply emergency ambulance service for residents after Venice Ambulance Service faced shutdown due to financial problems. The county declined proposed subsidies of 1828 dollars monthly, citing opposition to funding private business and seeking interim aid for unincorporated South County areas. Sessums pressued by Sarasota board over equitable tax action

Sarasota County School Board Attorney Richard Cooney criticized Terrell Sessums for delaying action against the state to ensure fair property tax assessments.
