Former New Mexico officer led FBI on two-state chase

Gale W. Napp, 51, a Lincoln County sergeant, faced five counts of auto theft four counts of burglary and one count of larceny after a three day crime spree. He was found aboard a 46 foot cabin cruiser in Lyons Bay and arrested without violence. L. Broussard 35 Nokomis was charged as accessory after the fact for harboring him. FBI and local detectives followed leads from East Coast Fisheries to The Prairie Rose and Buoy Bar before locating Napp. He is held at Sarasota County Jail without bond.
