Venice relies on new RO plant to avert water crisis

Young fisher Miss Sarah Lee Davis Makes News

A church child, five year old Sarah Lee Davis, catches a flounder at the South Jetty weighing about three pounds and shares the tale with a visiting editor. Her family, Rev Calvin Davis and Mrs Davis, her mother and brother Michael, accompany her. Time Capsule Planned by Venice Bank Aims for 2076

Graser announces the Bicentennial Time Capsule Planning Committee invites South County residents to submit items of Venice area historical or cultural significance for inclusion in the bank time capsule. Venice couple’s son sails for Bicentennial aboard The Unicorn

David L. Bender, son of Oscar and Mrs. Bender, will serve as master at arms aboard the brig The Unicorn for a seagoing Bicentennial salute. The ship will depart Port Everglades May 1 for Savannah then Bermuda, then New York for July 4 events. The Unicorn and its sister The Eagle will represent the United States in the flotilla and parade in New York Harbor.
