Eagle Scout builds cart for Medina Bookshelf
Medina Eagle Scout Luke Fisher, 17, donated a mobile book cart to the Medina Bookshelf Project Learn location at 105 W. Liberty St. Fisher modeled the cart after Brunswick Project Learn sites, assembling it over six months amid COVID and wood shortages to create extra space for children and teens to access books.

Memorial Day events in Medina County activities across towns
Multiple communities in Medina County hold Memorial Day events today. Sharon Center United Methodist Church hosts a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 am with donations supporting local groups at 6407 Ridge Road. Wadsworth Fire Department also runs an 8 am to noon breakfast at Fire Station 1, 153 N. Lyman St. Parades and ceremonies occur in Lodi, Sharon Corporate Park, Sharon circle, and downtown Medina, with speeches by Ben Fraser and Deacon Bruce Dobbins, flag ceremonies, rifle salutes by Black River High School band, and veteran honors at Woodlawn Cemetery, Memorial Hall, Westfield Park, and Veterans Memorial sites. Community groups include Chatham Township, Our Lady of Grace Church, DAV Chapter 72, VFW Posts 1089 and 5563, and Vietnam Veterans of America Medina County Chapter 385. The schedule features wreaths, taps, and a 1:15 pm Vietnam reading at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Road closures near Brunswick Middle School may occur during the 10:40 am parade.
