Batchelder backs racing law and air route resolution
State Rep. William Batchelder voted for a bill to revise horse racing laws and a resolution urging CAB to permit Wright Airlines to restore a Cleveland to Columbus air route. The racing bill passed 86 to 9 with phased-in implementation by 1978, while the resolution cleared 91 to 3 requesting the route via Burke Lakefront, Don Scott Field, and Cincinnati Airport.
