United Church women meet at Brinkhaven Spring Lantern Fellowship
About 110 women from United Churches of Christ gathered at Pilgrim Hills in Brinkhaven for the Spring Lantern Fellowship. Speakers included Rev. Vander Ploeg who urged that conflict can clarify goals and that Christians differ in decisions as they discern God at work in varying ways. Conference staff guided the weekend gathering.

Medina to add fourth Christian school in city limits
Medina County will gain a fourth Christian school after a feasibility study. The Church of the Nazarene on 378 W. Lafayette St plans registrations and a school board election. Initial grades K through 6 with future expansion and a high school later are proposed.

Truth touring group to perform in Medina concert
Power House Inc sponsors Truth a touring music company of 19 for a May 26 8 p m Medina County Community Center show under the ministry and gospel aims of Power House. The nonprofit funds Bible studies Christian service and scholarships while aiding two college students. Tickets are sold at local Medina venues. The group travels across North America with nearly six million attendees in over three thousand concerts and will follow Medina with a show in London Ontario.

Medina Pastor Elected Delegate to National Lutheran Meeting
The Rev. William Lucht of St. Matthew Lutheran Church was chosen as a delegate to the National Convention of the American Lutheran Church to be held in North Dakota in October. The Cleveland Conference of the ALC met at his church, with about 160 pastors, lay and youth delegates in attendance, to review reports on communications, mission support and campus ministry ahead of the Ohio District meeting in Columbus on June 13. The Rev. Kurt Meyers, outgoing president, plans to go to Africa as a missionary.
