Ohio Senate Backs Merger of Two Urban Departments
The Ohio Senate approved a bill merging the urban affairs and development departments by a 24 to 4 vote and sent it to the House. Gov. Gilligan aimed to formalize an already informal reorganization. The same session also approved a measure to expand the powers of the Transportation Research Center of Ohio and permit revenue bonds for faster, self funded construction.
