Medina County Veterans honor Grassa and Weygandt for 2021
The Joint Veterans Coalition of Medina County named Phill Grassa as Veteran of the Year and Dale Weygandt as Veteran Advocate of the Year for 2021. Grassa led upgrades at the Medina County Veterans Memorial Hall and funded efforts during COVID 19 while Weygandt produced a virtual Memorial Day parade and care packages, drawing wide local participation. The group plans an Oct 15 banquet to formally recognize them depending on COVID conditions.
